Douglas E. Beckwith, MD. Douglas E. Beckwith, MD.

Born and raised in Virginia, Dr. Beckwith worked as a General Contractor before returning to school and earning his IVID from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1988. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Roanoke Memorial Hospital and joined the practice in 1994. Eventually, the practice would become Chester Family MedCare when Dr. Beckwith purchased it in 1998. Thanks to his background as a contractor, when it was time for the practice to expand, he designed and built the current office which opened in February of 2002. Dr. Beckwith particularly enjoys working with diabetics, both insulin and nonĀ­-insulin dependent. When not in the office, you can find Dr. Beckwith building an addition on his home. raising Black Angus, riding his Harley, or spending time with his grandchildren.

Sarah Rohrs Reves, FNP-C Sarah Rohrs Reves, FNP-C

Sarah grew up in New Jersey and attended Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania before heading to Cleveland, Ohio where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University in 1997. After graduating, she returned to coastal New Jersey. She moved to Richmond in April of 1999, at which time she joined Chester Family MedCare. While she moved to Atlanta for a short time, she returned to the practice in 2002 and became a partner in 2003. Sarah enjoys all aspects of primary care, including the prevention and management of diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol. Her personal interests are spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling, and scuba diving. She lives in Mechanicsville with her husband, step-children, and a multitude of furry and feathered critters.

Kelly S. McAuliffe, FNP-C Kelly S. McAuliffe, FNP-C

Kelly is from the Tidewater, Virginia area and attended Virginia Tech where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise. She then moved to Richmond to attend Virginia Commonwealth University where she received her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing in 2005. Soon after, Kelly joined Chester Family MedCare and became a partner in 2010. Although Kelly enjoys managing chronic illnesses including hypertension and diabetes, her passion is working with children, adolescents, and young adults where she can focus on disease prevention and promotion of healthy lifestyles. Kelly, her husband Jason, and their two sons reside in Moseley.



Julie Julian, FNP-C Julie Julian, FNP-C

Julie grew up in North Carolina and received her undergraduate degree in Biology from East Carolina University. After getting married and moving to the Richmond area, Julie enrolled in the Accelerated Second Degree program at Virginia Commonwealth University and received her Bachelor’s and her Master’s in Nursing. Julie is an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, anything athletic, and reading. Julie resides in Chesterfield county with her husband and her four sons.



Hope Haffizulla, MD. Hope Haffizulla, MD.

Dr. Hope Haffizulla-Smith was born and raised in Jamaica. She went to medical school at the University of the West Indies from 1994 to 1999. After her internship, she worked as a General Practitioner for two years before deciding to enter into Family Medicine, She attended the Family Medicine program at Carillion Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia from 2002-2005 and was Chief Resident in 2004-2005. She moved to Richmond and worked as a family medicine physician at another location until joining Chester Family MedCare in June of 2012. Dr, Haffizulla has a passion for working with patients in under-served areas of Virginia and loves the whole scope of family medicine taking care of families, dealing with chronic medical problems, and issues that affect adolescents. When she is not working, she likes to travel, sew, and experiment in painting. Hope resides in Richmond with her husband.
